Choose a ring that fits the same finger on the same hand.
Measure straight across its inside opening, edge to edge, in millimetres. Measure the opening, rather than the outside of the band.

Home measurements are estimates. Finger size changes with temperature and time of day, and wider bands can feel tighter. A jeweller can measure the intended finger for a more dependable fit.
